About Sudanese perfume
Sudanese perfumery is built on layering. Khumra is a concentrated blend of oils such as sandalwood, mahlab and rose, worn on special occasions. Musk is softer and worn daily. Bakhoor and dukhan are burned to scent the home and clothes, and dilka is a fragrant paste used to smooth the skin, especially before a wedding.
